Secure Managed Hosting

Network security threats - from Internet-born worms and viruses to DDoS attacks, internal data losses, natural disasters and terror-related risks - pose a multi-billion dollar threat to corporations. That's why AnlX Managed Hosting takes a proactive, comprehensive approach by providing you the industry's most potent security tools and techniques, designed, built and maintained specifically for enterprise-class application hosting.
From secure server builds and intrusion detection systems to a physically secure data centre and monitored network, we take a multi-layered approach to keeping your application hosting operations reliable and secure.

Infrastructure

AnlX Web security starts at the data centre itself, and includes traditional locks and access controls, motion detection, video and biometric surveillance systems. Robust fire suppression, HVAC, power feeds and generator backups protect the physical plant, and hot-swappable servers and routers are available in the event of an outage. AnlX uses background checks and certifications to ensure the integrity of all data centre personnel.
AnlX Managed Hosting provides 24x7x365 staffed security and the monitoring of both internal devices and external threats. Our 100% Cisco Powered Network, built on hardened routers and regularly audited , ensures maximum security protection for every customer. Our network incorporates patented Intrusion Detection Systems, and we welcome 3rd party security oversight.
Firewalls are implemented, configured and managed by experienced Web security specialists and deployed in a "private IP" space, while customer servers and routers are segregated Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) configurations. Other AnlX network security features include multi-level privileges, OS lockdowns, centralized authentication and device change logs.

Security Components & Technologies

All server Operating Systems are loaded, hardened and managed to ensure maximum web security. Many hacking and DDoS attacks can be prevented by consistent patching and by the disabling non-essential OS services. By maintaining on-site inventories and close relationships with key hardware vendors, as well as Web laboratories and automated deployment systems, AnlX Managed Hosting can guarantee hardware availability. When any Web device is removed from service, AnlX fully cleans all mission critical data before that device is routed for disposal.
The AnlX security regimen also addresses the inherent vulnerabilities of Internet-oriented applications, including enterprise databases, Microsoft IIS, Apache, Linux, mail services, FTP servers, DNS and streaming media. AnlX implements well-configured firewalls and deactivates non-essential features to further protect business applications.
The specialists at AnlX work with customers to address internal policies and processes that might affect Web security. This might include consultations or referrals to 3rd party business security firms. AnlX constantly updates its Web security systems to ensure optimum protection for our customers. We maintain close relationships with key technology vendors, the ability to monitor and address emerging threats and the ability to quickly process and apply new security patches.
Our security testing includes the installation, configuration and patching of the Operating System, the disabling of vulnerable or unneeded services and the use of advanced vulnerability tests. To ensure a fast and appropriate response to any security event, qualified AnlX personnel are available on a 24x7x365 basis. AnlX offers scanning of software and network elements for detection of viruses and other security vulnerabilities.
AnlX has created an innovative Web-based information portal to give every customer precise, up-to the-minute information on every aspect of their web infrastructure. My.AnlX provides information on emerging Internet threats and vendor responses, as well as specific information on each customer's infrastructure performance, security status, trouble tickets and any current alerts.

Monitoring

Without an effective monitoring solution, an organization can suffer the effects of swamped servers or overloaded databases without even knowing it until it's too late. Security breaches and basic hardware or software failures are an even greater threat. Aggressive monitoring can prevent many of these frustrating and costly failures and help guarantee a high quality of service for your end-users.
Using sophisticated monitoring tools our team are able to deliver more responsive and robust monitoring solutions for performance monitoring and benchmarking.

  • - Network Layer

AnlX routinely monitors all routers, switches and connectivity that affect the performance of our Zero-Downtime Network?. Monitoring Technologies Deployment Components & Methods

AnlX utilizes advanced monitoring technologies from Intel, Microsoft and Cisco, as well as 3rd party systems and our own Web monitoring and management solutions. As a result, we can track and analyze customer hardware, software and bandwidth performance, and offer expert advice on future capacity requirements.
Our team has deployed and operates thousands of Web sites. We have the monitoring and analytical systems to track and evaluate your on-line performance and can offer expert advice on the size and workability of your configurations.
The ActiveCare service approach is built on the belief that to properly meet our customers' expectations when managing their application environments, we need to have a strong partner relationship that goes beyond what you would typically expect from a hosting provider.
The ActiveCare approach revolves around your Project Manager (PM). The PM is your single point of contact (SPOC) for all issues, technical and non-technical. Each PM is paired with an Lead Engineer that has a good understanding of the configuration and performance on your specific hosting environment. This includes an understanding of the custom application you are running.
Additionally, each PM is backed up by a team of engineers for 24x7 level-4 monitoring and management of your hosting environment.
To develop the level of partnership that defines the ActiveCare approach, a thorough understanding of customer business goals, Internet strategy, application requirements and hosting environment requirements is gained during our managed implementation process. This process is managed by your PM who brings in various experts for different phases of the customer implementation process.

ActiveCare Approach

The more complex your application, the higher the level of understanding your hosting provider needs to have to properly manage your application hosting platform. AnlX's application hosting requires a close understanding of your overall business goals. This helps AnlX customize our service delivery based on the needs of your business. During the implementation process, a customized Operations Manual is created for each customer. This Operations Manual defines the team's standard operating procedure in dealing with your IT team. It includes everything from custom escalation procedures to customer defined monitoring thresholds that act as triggers for action by the ActiveCare team.
This ActiveCare approach is a true partnership. Our goal is to work with you as if we're part of your internal IT team. Every aspect of our relationship with you is customized based on your specific needs. Our ActiveCare approach is just one piece of our Support philosophy and our commitment to delivering the highest level of service in the industry.

Incident Classification

Once an issue has been recorded in our trouble ticketing system, it is assigned a priority level. Priority levels are assigned based on severity and complexity. Your Lead Engineer will begin working on your issue and communicate regular updates to your PM. If the Lead Engineer is not able to solve your issue, the issue is escalated.

Incident Identification

Telephone: Clients can report an issue by calling their PM.
Clients are regularly updated on issue status and progress by their PM.
Web Portal: Clients may instantly report an incident via the Client Web Portal 24x7x365. The portal provides up-to-date ticket information and a progress report.
System Monitor: Internal systems constantly monitor clients' hosting environments and can open a trouble-ticket to alert the ActiveCare team when possible trouble is detected.
Scheduled Events: Our trouble-ticketing system tracks all changes and scheduled future events. New configuration deployment, configuration upgrades, scheduled backups and device rule changes are all managed by our proprietary management system.
We take responsibility for solving all issues related to your application environment. Your PM takes ownership of all issues and manages them to resolution. Your PM can pull from internal AnlX resources or external resources to solve any problem.
